ZARIFA GOLDEN AWARD

The Official Statuette of Zarifa Academy

Symbolism

The Zarifa Golden Award is rooted in a profoundly personal moment — the ascension of the founder’s beloved mother, Zarifeh Abkar, during a time when he could not be by her side.

This sculpture transforms an intimate grief into a universal symbol: rising above loss, turning pain into creation, and moving from darkness toward light.

Its ascending form represents individuals who aim for greatness — those who channel their deepest wounds into meaningful achievements.

The award stands as a tribute to resilience, transformation, and the enduring power of human intention.

Design

The award was conceived and artistically designed by Vahid Alizadeh, founder of the Zarifa Academy, in honor and remembrance of his mother.

The conceptual design and the original sculptural form are entirely his creation.

During the technical development and 3D modeling phase, Sepehr Ghasemi provided valuable support, helping shape the physical realization of the concept while preserving the purity of the original design.

The statue’s two-part structure embodies the duality between the earthly and the transcendent — struggle below, ascension above.

Its minimal geometry and upward motion reflect the festival’s dedication to artistic courage and an international, contemporary aesthetic.

Craftsmanship & Material

Crafted from high-quality brass and finished with layers of gold and silver plating, the Zarifa Golden Award is produced through a meticulous casting and hand-finishing process.

Constructed in two distinct pieces, the statue carries both symbolic and physical weight, with a total mass of approximately 2.5 kg, giving it a timeless and substantial presence.

Official Registration

The design of the Zarifa Golden Award is officially registered and protected by the INPI – French National Institute of Industrial Property.

This recognition secures the originality of the statue and establishes it as an exclusive and protected element of the festival’s visual identity.
